To run the firewall tests, first configure the necessary programs. Once that is done, connect to the testing machine, change into the bin directory directly below the main UnderFire directory, and type ./fwtest. All available tests will be executed. This may take a while, so be patient. If you would like test information to be displayed to your screen while the fwtest program is running, start it as ./fwtest -v. To only run specific tests, list the tests to run after the ./fwtest command, (e.g. to run the sample1 and sample2 tests, enter ./fwtest sample1 sample2).
When the tests are complete, a report is generated. You will be given the location of this report which you may then view. This location should also be entered into the evaluation form if you are creating a full evaluation of the firewall.
